The Great Gatsby
So I finally went to go see "The Great Gatsby" this past weekend and I absolutely loved it. I read the book back in 11th grade and I'll admit, I wasn't so enthused by it then, but now after seeing the film, I want to read the book again - it was that amazing. Leonardo DiCaprio is my all-time favorite actor, so I have no complaints about seeing him on the big screen. From the soundtrack, to the fashion, to the overall tragic love story behind it, this film was nothing short of spectacular in my eyes. I wanted to share a few of my favorite quotes from the film with you all and I highly suggest you go see it whenever you can! I promise you will not be disappointed, gotta give it to Baz Luhrmann! Xx, A.
“I hope she'll be a fool - that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.”
“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”
"They're a rotten crowd... You're worth the whole damn bunch put together."
“And I like large parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties there isn’t any privacy.”
“I was within and without. Simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life.”
"I wish we could just run away... I wish I had done everything on earth with you."
